Excellent. Very easy to plugin, works almost first time. You need to configure it before you use it (otherwise you get an error message).
Also there is a slight usability bug, when you change any setting (like the height) the colour is reset to blank, so just watch for that.
Otherwise it's very easy to use and works well in 2.8 for now!

Thank you and I appreciate the comments... However I am working on the usability issue you are concerned with and adding bonus features as well. And I have checked it with 2.8 and everything seems to be working fine for now.
I will have plugin version updated to wordpress by morning 06/24/09 most likely as long as the update plugin part works to display custom message.

I did minunderstand the purpose of the player though...I was looking for a replacement for Audio Player (which was a very good, simple mp3 player), but I see this one plays mp3's from premiumbeat.
It is a good plugin...I'm just looking for a replacement for Audio Player where I can upload my own mp3's and and have an audio player added to play them.

You can just replace files in mp3 folder to yours and the plugin does the work. I just used premiumbeat.com player by permission to make the playlist and plugin version upgrades.
Look here for a better explanation of where they go:

These are all my songs in the mp3 folder for the plugin.
The playlist file will generate without your input with the exception of putting mp3's in the folder.
Next version 1.1.5 you can add
[mp3_embed playlst="http://educhalk.org/832/steve/wp-content/uploads/2009/06/gonnadotoday.mp3"]
It will embed a little player with your 1 song on it..

The plugin works on the posts well but i cannot put it on the side ber and when i embeded it as widget i get the following error:

I think the HEX error is really a misunderstanding since the setup page is a little confusing. Even though selecting the HEX color by clicking in the palette shows you the Corresponding HEX code...it is actually still not set in the theme options. You have to then go ahead and enter the same HEX code in the empty field above. This sounds confusing but if you look at the plugin admin page for the color option, you should figure it out. Basically just remember to manually enter in the HEX number after choosing the color you like.

ok if you are still wondering if this issue is resolved it took 4 or 5 revisions for me to get around to updating it but I think this next one will do it (v1.2.5). Let me know @ admin [at] thomasnorberg.com if things don't get better.

Great player!
Its the only player plug-in out there that did what I needed! Since its not mentioned... This player protects your audio files so folks cant right-click to download them! That was one of my most needed features! And the ability to FTP your songs into a directory is great, as browser uploading is usually limited to a few MB's.
