• hi,
after installing the minimu plugin i’m trying to add the additional domains in the plug-in settings page. The initial domain configuration set has an error before I change any parameters, reading: “- Please enter a valid domain name (eg. http://www.mydomain.com)” my domain is in the format of ‘http://mysub.mydomain.us’ and since it is the default domain it cannot be edited. I’ve found that when I attempt to add additional domains into minimu it gives the same error to any URL that includes the ‘http://’ and I noticed in your screenshot that the ‘http://’ is not included. I tried to changed my general wordpress URL settings to remove the ‘http://’ but the latest version does not allow this.

Any thoughts on how to fix the issue?
    thanks,
    b

    Hi,

Strange – I haven’t come across this problem before. Could you provide some details?
    – the version of WordPress you’re running
    – which webserver is used being (Apache, IIS, etc)
    – which version of the plugin you are using

I’ve been working on some major improvements to MiniMU, and I’m hoping to release a new version shortly (next week or so).

Meanwhile, I’ll do some additional testing and see if I’m able to replicate this problem.

    Cheers,
    Eric.

Thanks for the quick reply. I’m using:
    WordPress 3.1.2.
    MiniMU 0.4
    Platform Type Debian
    MySQL Version 5.0.45
    Perl 5.8.8
    PHP 5.2.2
    hosted on startlogic

I should add that, presumably because of the error status of the default domain, MiniMu won’t allow me to save any additional domains.

I’m looking forward to your upcoming update. Please let me know if there are any further details I can add.

    thx

Hi, Just a quick update to let you know that the problem got fixed somewhere along the way in the course of repairing some weird server issues on the backend. I’m not sure what changed but now the ‘http’ no longer appears in the default domain and everything is working perfectly.
    Thanks for the great plugin!

Thanks for letting me know! Maybe some type of URL rewriting issue?

    Hi Shelkie

Firstly, I am new to the world of wordpress so may be missing the obvious! Your plugin appears to be the perfect solution for me to have certain domain names appear when visitors land on pages within my main wordpress site. Problem is, I have installed your plugin, followed the configuration steps and when I saved the new domains subsequently lost all of my pages within the wordpress site? Having now picked myself up of the floor and deactivated the plugin these have re-appeared (phew!)
I would though still like the functions your plugin offers and wondered if this is perhaps due to the wordpress part of my site being set up within my main site? i.e url addresses/pages appear like this: http://www.maindomain/keyword/page title

Theme Simon WP Framework with 1 Widget, using WordPress 3.1.
    look forward to your thoughts.

    Hi,

I’m just about to release a new version of this plugin, and it should address the issues you’re running in to. Let me know if you still run into problems with the newest version.

    Cheers,
    Eric.
