[Plugin: MimeTypes Link Icons] plugin conflict or bug
-
Since updating to 2.0.4, wp-cycle no longer cycles. Where can I download 2.0.3?
-
Same issue with slider pro. the update killed all my slide shows. a jquery error when I ran the script debugger.
In my set-up, Mime Type Link Images plugin clashes with WPadio.
Anyone else had this?
Hey all – sorry.
@digitalnordic – older versions are kept here – http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/mimetypes-link-icons/download/
@texasnetwork – can you let me know what error message you are getting? I cannot replicate.
@steadwell – can you give me a bit of detail? How is it clashing? Is it browser dependent?
All information you can supply would help me sort the problem out. I appreciate your patience.
Once I can find the issue, I can usually nail it pretty quickly, so I hope it won’t be too long before I can release a patch…
I’ll try on another site, I found the your old version and installed it, everything worked with old version so I haven’t revisited the issue. I could never visually see the error, the slider would simply be blank on the screen, when I ran the IE developer tools, script/start debugging I found an error.
Even though I’ve had your plugin installed for a while, I’ve never really seen it in action yet because I haven’t encountered the circumstances to invoke it yet. By “clashing”, I only mean that it prevents the play button for mp3 links (WPaudio functionality) from appearing. I guess it’s really not an issue with your plugin but with the WPaudio plugin since yours “Trumps” the other.
I brought it up here to see if maybe someone else had encountered it.
You seem to stay on-top of your work! I wish the other guy would.
@steadwell – Thanks. In fairness to the other developer, it’s really hard staying on top of the forum requests, as you don’t get emailed initially – i.e. when someone creates a thread – only when you notice a message and tick subscribe. Having said that, I am having problems with WPAudio even on the developer’s own site –
“Syntax error, unrecognised expression: [href$=.mp3]”
I have tried turning off all other plugins, but nothing works for WPAudio at all. And on the developer’s site, it seems flaky – sometimes it’s OK, other times it fails, but every time it gives me that error.
However, since there are three people saying there’s a problem with my plugin, I am happy to concede that there is one, I just can’t find the problem or replicate it.
@texasnetwork – I cannot find the plugin called Slider Pro. Can you send me a link?
@digitalnordic I can get them both to work together in harmony – http://blog.eagerterrier.co.uk/2006/09/adfadsfadsfafasf/ – any chance I can get a link to the page you’re having problems with? Or at least the settings for my plugin and the other plugin so I can more accurately replicate your set up..
Here is the site: http://psia-w.org/
I am currently using 2.0.2 with the following settings: 16×16 png and image settings checked for pdf, doc, docx, xls, xlsx.
The plugin that stopped working when I updated to 2.0.4 was wp-cyle, 0.1.12@digitalnordic- that’s really helpful, thanks. Unfortunately, I still can’t replicate the issue. But maybe I’m missing a trick here – I haven’t asked what browser this problem appears on. Is it all browsers?
I have replicated the site here: http://nordicmoose.com/psia3/
with 2.0.4 and wp-cycle does not cycle in firefox, safari, chrome, or IE9@digitalnordic – gotcha. Thanks. It’s to do with the plugin looking for the id=”content” tag on the main div that appears on the article pages. Easy fix. Give me 15 minutes…
All,
The new version has been committed to the repository. Should be with you shortly. Let me know how you get on
2.0.5 didn’t show in the repository for some reason, so I have given it a *bump* to 2.0.6
You should be able to get it now.
Updated to 2.0.6 and wp-cycle is cycling again.
Thanks so much!! Great work and really appreciate the phenomenal support.Great news @digitalnordic – thanks for using the plugin!
