• I had Meteor Slides working fine until I updated wordpress, and some other plugins in the last week.

Now, using the plugin shortcodes to display slides, the slides are not showing, just the slideshow interface, pager and instead of slides the number 449 shows at the top right hand side.

    Here is a screenshot:

I disabled the W3 Total Cache, and it made no difference. I stopped using Google Libraries, and instead added the RestoreJQuery plugin. This did not solve the problem.

The screenshot was when I had TwentyTwelve theme enabled, although I normally use a StudioPress Child Theme of Genesis.

I also noticed that in the backend WP admin that all the slides were not showing as thumbnails in the Meteor Slides plugin backend interface. Instead there was just the text “9999” next to each description, and no images.

    See this screenshot:

Also, I couldn’t find a meteor slides table in the mysql database, which seemed odd.

Meteor Slides uses the standard featured image functionality, updating WordPress shouldn’t break the slide images. There are no custom database tables for Meteor Slides, it uses a custom post type and all the content is stored with the other posts and and pages.

Do you have any other plugins activated, I would try deactivating them all to rule out any plugin conflicts.

It could be that the featured image thumbnails were corrupted, or the permissions of your uploads folder might have changed. Try editing a slide and resetting the featured image to see if it shows up.

You could also use the Regenerate Thumbnails plugin to try to repair the featured images.

The plugin causing ALL of the problems that I outlined was called “Automatic Youtube Video Posts”.

I will notify the author of that plugin, but I am not sure what the conflict is. This plugin was recently updated over the last few days.

That’s strange, I wonder if the custom post columns from the YouTube plugin are conflicting with the ones in Meteor Slides.
