• Hi! My name is Maddie Flanigan and I am having trouble with your plug-in. I add slides according to your video tutorials but when I insert the code into the post, nothing shows up – it is a blank white space. What am I doing wrong?

If this helps, my theme is one that was created for my by A Freckled Nest Design.

Hi Maddie, I don’t see a slideshow in the source code of your site anywhere. Are you adding it to a post in the visual editor using the shortcode? Which post are you trying to add it to?

Thanks so much for your help! I’m adding it to a post and I’m using the HTML editor to add the shortcode. I added it to an old post so that you could see what is going on:

the slideshow “should be” where there is a HUGE blank space (right underneath “so this week was”)

Yeah, the slideshow is in there, it is just hidden because the JavaScript for the slideshow is broken.

There is a conflict with WP Easy Gallery, try deactivating that plugin and see if the slideshow is working.

I think the problem is that the jquery.prettyPhoto.js file is using the “$” shortcut, which isn’t available in WordPress because jQuery is loaded in “no conflict” mode. The script would need a wrapper around it to get it working.
