[Plugin: Meteor Slides] Can´t scroll the page on iphone

    Since the new update making meteor slides react to touch events, a user can no longer scroll the page on iPhone by clicking and draggin vertically in the slideshow. This is a natural consequence I guess. But can I somehow turn this off for vertical scrolling? On iPhone my slideshow takes up the entire screen, so the user can´t scroll on the page at all but are ‘stuck’ at the slideshow.

    That’s a good point, I’ll test out the touchwipe script and try to get it to only use left/right wipes and leave up down wipes working normally.

    Any luck with this? I have a similar issue with my site. The inability to scroll down using touch makes mobile use difficult.

    This has been fixed in the beta of Meteor Slides 1.5.1, you can download it from Github.

    JLeuze, thanks for the response. I downloaded and installed 1.5.1 master from github, but it did not fix the issue. I still cannot scroll on an iPad if my finger is on the meteor slide.

    I also checked that the updated code you added: “preventDefaultEvents: false” was added.

    That’s strange, it works on my Android. I don’t have an iOS device to test it on, but I have tested the fix on there before and it worked. I am using this fix on my homepage, maybe you could test that on your iPad and confirm whether the fix is working at all.

    Jleuze.com works fine with the iPad. The Portfolio page layout has text overlapping pictures, but that is more FYI and a bit off topic.

    I am going to delete the plugin and install it 1.5.1 again.

    Update: That worked. I deleted 1.5 completely and installed 1.5.1 and activated plugin.
