The slides are sorted chronologically just like blog posts, you can change the published date to sort the slides. Or you can using a plugin like Post Types Order to add drag and drop sorting.

JLeuze, the plugin you recomended (Post Types Order) can be used for sorting only non-hierarchical post types, whereas your post's Slides are hierarchical. I wasn't able to get Post Types Order to sort Meteor Slides. Are you sure it can be done?

Post Types Order should work fine. The slide posts are non-hierarchical, like blog posts, not like pages where you can have children and grandchildren.

Then Post Types Order isn't working on my installation for some other reason... I can't make them work for Slides.

By the way, your plugin is awsome, thanks a lot for sharing it with us.

Thanks! It should work, I just tested it with the latest versions of Meteor Slides and WP and I was able to sort the slides.

Are you able to see the Re-Order submenu in the Slides menu and drag and drop the slides? It could be a conflict with your theme or another plugin.

That's the thing, the Post Types Order isn't working at all - there's no Re-Order menu in any of the post types submenus. I'll try it out on a clean install of WP, although I have no reason not to believe you that it works. There must be some problem in my install. I'll post it here if I find out what it is.

That's strange, are you using the latest version of WordPress?

Hmmm, I'm having no luck after installing the plug-in tonight as well. I was delighted to read this thread, hoping I'd be able to drag and drop slides to change the order - but no luck so far. I am using the Catalyst framework and their Dynamik child theme for my site (link pops). I installed the plugin and hoped for the best - but nothing changed on the backend. I know it's not you plugin - but if you have any suggestions, please advise.

Yes, I am using the latest version of WP.

Oops, after testing my post, I guess the link DOESN'T pop in a new window. I mistakenly thought we could pop traditional html into the post. Guess I was wrong. "_blank" be damned.

Ah, Now on the slider menu I see an option for "reorder". So I guess the plugin did work. Unfortunately, they are referred to by title only (no thumbnail) so since all my slides don't have individual names it's not much help in this particular case.

Thanks - sorry about the false alarm.

@jason103 I would give your slide posts names, even if you aren't using these on the frontend it is handy to have them labeled for your own usage later, such as when using the Post Types Order plugin.
