Plugin mess up with WP 3.9

    I did the upgrade to 3.9 from 3.8 and after that delete some spammers that Stop Spammer Registrations screen and immediately lost all my users.
    Return the users from a backup.
    Few days later, I delete another spam comment and again, lost all my users.
    Roll back to 3.8 and it was deleting spammers just fine.
    upgrade again to 3.9 and same behavior.
    Seams that the new version WP 3.9 has something that tiggers StopSpammer Registration to delete the User table, when deleting spammers comments.
    Any fix?
    I had it in all my WP installs, so I can reproduce it at easy if anyone needs to debug.
    Don’t know how to.

    I don’t touch any tables and don’t do any SQL in stop spammers. I never delete a wp user record. I wonder if anyone else has had this problem. I know that I haven’t.

    could be that some ‘trash’ code that is left between versions 3.8 and 3.9 on WP are doing some bad behavior?
    What I did was: I removed complete the StopSpam plugin, upgrade to 3.9, and re-installed the plugin and the problem is not happening so far, but still, not much spammers hit the site yet.

    It takes a lot of time to download and install a WordPress upgrade. It could be that the upgrade failed along the way leaving some files 3.8 and 3.9. This has happened to me with large plugins. When I used 1and1 for all my sites, there were strict limits that were easy to reach. I had to reinstall WordPress every once in a while and there were some plugins that I had to install by unzipping and copying via FTP.

    Keith,
    I was able to reproduce the error on a controlled way.
    As I told you, after the new WordPress 3.9, something was wrong with the plugin and I guess I was able to isolated it, so you may be able to test and then find a solution.

    What do I have:
    Wordpress 3.9.1 In both languages: English and Portuguese. Note that both are different sites. It will happen doesn’t matter witch site.

    Stop Spammer Registrations Plugin Version 5.9.3

    I did a fresh install of Stop Spammer, after upgrade my WordPress to 3.9
    I disable Cache but now I see no reason to disable it. Right now it’s disabled.

    On Stop Spammer I have all 4 API Keys set.
    All Other Checks are check but:
    Check IP against the Akismet db on logins:
    Check IP against the Akismet db on comments:
    Events to Check are all but:
    Don’t check plugin forms

    Done that, I have to let it run for couple days, until have have that line on the Initial panel telling me that:
    There are xx comments in your spam queue right now.

    When I have that, I click on the ‘xx comments’ link that takes me to the Comments page and shows each comment with options to:
    Not Spam, Histori, Exclude, Check SFS, Check HoneyPot and Reprot to SFS

    The problem is here: when you click “Report to SFS” the plugin deletes whole or part of the User table.

    Simple like that. Just ‘Report to SFS’ one comment and your Users table are gone.

    I can do it any time, on any of my WordPress install.

    If there is any thing I can send to you or give you access to see it happening, let me know.
