I used this with the Woocommerce plugin to rename an image of a product. It worked ok on an image which was not a ‘Featured’ image.
When using on a Featured image it did rename the image but the image was not linked properly to the product. If I went to the product and viewed the image it was there with the new name but when viewing the product in the shop the image was missing.

    Hello David,

I release a new version of the plugin and tried that, but it’s working fine. I should add that I didn’t try with Woocommerce plugin! 😉 But I guess they’re using WordPress standard function without hacking everywhere in the code…

Can you please try again? Is there is any issues, please start another thread, and give me a listing of the plugins you’re using. Thanks a lot!

I had the same problem. The solution for me was to recreate the image thumbnails after renaming them using http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/regenerate-thumbnails/

Regenerate Thumbnails (or equivalent) always do a lot of good usually, clean-up websites and get images consistent with the settings.
