   Using autoupdate on the PHP Markdown plugin overwrites it with a plugin called mdawaffe-test which doesn't work.

   Manually downloading PHP Markdown from the author's site and installing markdown.php in the plugins folder restores functionality.

   Looks like the autoupdate info is wrong here…

   Sorry about this. This was a bug in our Plugins Directory. Please download the plugin from the author's site at http://michelf.com/projects/php-markdown/.
