Hi All,

We'd love to know your thoughts on the release - and, of course, anything you'd like to see added or improved.
Hey... I'm just testing your new plugin, and it's awesome. But, there is one bug (so... far), that every time I insert 7000 in price and insert it will display correctly. Then I update the product, the price magically change into 70, how come ?
That sounds like a pretty crazy issue! Can you email us your login details at contact@incsub.com and cite this thread - we'll take a look into it for you!
Thanks for giving it a try, and thanks for the 'awesome' - feel free to rate it 5 stars :)
I have sent you an email, please check it out.
Thanks, replied.
Hiya!
I've just tried to reproduce that issue on my own testing site and can't seem to get it.
Can you try de-activating all other plugins and see if the issue persists?
Also, it'd be good if you could detail exactly when this happens. For instance;
- does it happen when you first publish?
- does it happen when you update an existing product?
- does it happen with other values like 700, 8000, 10000, etc?
Cheers!
Phil
The plugin fails to find several files on load in the following folder which doesn't exist:
/wp-content/plugins/wordpress-ecommerce/marketpress-includes/themes/modern-images/
This slows the site right down, I even re-downloaded the plugin manually and took a look inside, the folder doesn't exist there either?
A quick workaround for anyone else having this a problem (you don't get an error, just everything loads slow) is to:
Create the following folder:
/wp-content/plugins/wordpress-ecommerce/marketpress-includes/themes/modern-images/
And fill it with some 1 pixel by 1pixel empty images called:
error.png
basket.png
basket_go.png
basket_delete.png
package.png
money.png
arrow_right.png
basket_add.png
lorry.png
After I did this everything loads faster and there are no missing files, this is odd as even though your using the "icons" theme the plugin still tries to load files from the "modern" theme.
@mixtlupus Looks like we missed those files out of the package. Thanks for flagging this up, we'll get it fixed asap!
Phil
@Philip John - Excellent, thanks for the quick response :)
Fixed in 2.0.4
Looks promising. I'll give it a whirl soon.
I'm not sure I understand the pricing scheme. The premium version requires you to enroll in the $35/month WPMU membership?
I'd be interested in buying a copy outright, without a monthly fee.
You can get the plugin + 1 months support for just $39 (and then cancel your subscription at any time) - you'll get to use the plugin for as long as you want, on as many sites as you want, but will just miss out on updates.
But you can always come back in the future and buy another month for those :)
Hope that helps!
Hi- I am putting together a site using marketpress lite and gridmarket. But the shipping options do not appear and there are problems with the font colors (i.e. main color = main font color).
I signed up for the $35 membership in order to use gridmarket and to get some clues as to how to find the shipping set-up section. But the only help that seems to be available involves installing themes and plugins on WordPress. (The live chat feature would not be timely and the times it is on conflicts with working night shifts. And I really don't want to wait or 4 days for an answer.
I would really like to know where the shipping set-up is located. Are there any directions on marketpress and gridmaret anywhere? I am pulling out my hair.
Hi whitekoi,
The shippings options are accessible by going to Products > Store Settings then the Shipping tab. Is there something more specific you're looking for though?
Also, we'll be happy to take a close look with you on that matter through the forums on the site if you'd like to go ahead and create a new thread there. Our own forums provide a better way for us to assist you with any issues you're having.
But we'll gladly see what we can do for you here as well. :)
I'm considering your premier plug in but i would like to know before I try it out; does it support Nets as payment provider? Link to Nets
@ssamik MarketPress doesn't support Nets I'm afraid. However, it is possible to add your own payment gateways so you should be able to implement support for Nets.

Been playing with the plugin this week. So far I really like.
However, I have encountered 2 small issues.
1. The product custom post type is setup to use the default "with_front" setting of true. As a result all products are appended with the "/blog" front end resulting in:
localhost/blog/shop/products/test-product/
instead of
localhost/shop/products/test-product/
I have temporarily remedied this by modifying line 644 of marketpress.php
from:
'rewrite' => array('slug' => $settings['slugs']['store'] . '/' . $settings['slugs']['products']), // Permalinks format
to:
'rewrite' => array('slug' => $settings['slugs']['store'] . '/' . $settings['slugs']['products'], 'with_front' => false), // Permalinks format
The ability to select true or false in the Marketpress settings would be ideal.
2. I am unable to get accurate results from mp_is_shop_page(). It seems to return false everytime.
I have dumped the $mp object for observation and it always appears to be false. I am attempting to only show the shopping cart widget on shop page and not on content or blog pages.
I am currently working on an offine site so I have not links to share.
running wp 3.1.3 and MarketPress Lite 2.1.1
thanks

after tinkering a bit I resolved my second issue.
I was calling mp_is_shop_page() in the wrong place, before is_shop_page was defined as true.
Hiya m@,
We'll take a look at the idea of a toggle for the with_front setting. Glad you got the second issue sorted. Appreciate your feedback :)
I am trying your plugin on 2 sites and I love it. I tried many many others before I came across this and seems to be the best out there.

I don't see anything on store set-up for Returns.
I had to delete the pesky little background icons on the shopping cart page (mp_cart_col_product et al) because they were not behaving properly, and I had to make other changes in the icons.css file. I wasn't able to create a new css file (although it shows, grayed out), so I will have to save and update the icons.css everytime there is a Marketpress Lite upgrade. I guess custom css is a premier option but this is really not fair since the bg images weren't working properly.
Otherwise, tho, a great product, very intuitive and my client loves the ease of use.
Thanks,
Hi lt1833,
Thanks for your feedback! We'll pass these items on to the developers to take a look into.
As an added note, the premium version just received an option to disable frontend css, making it easier to customize that. Usually, the lite version receives these updates rather quickly.
As much as I have been loving marketpress lite, it seems to be incompatible with my jQuery slideshow here:
http://www.hickoryhillheather.com
Is there a fix?
(When I disable the plugin, slideshow works again)
How do I get support for this major problem?
Please advise!!
@lt833 I've had a look and I'm not seeing any jQuery errors on your site. It looks like it's probably a CSS conflict.
Use a tool like Firebug to find out which styles are affecting your slider and you'll be able to get that fixed.
Cheers!

Hi I have just installed WP ecommerce MarketPress Lite and on my menu bar the following is shown
'Warning: Missing argument 2 for MarketPress::filter_list_pages() in /home/gingera1/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wordpress-ecommerce/marketpress.php on line 1148'
Does anyone have any idea how to fix this so that It displays the page 'store'
Thanks
@AlbinoMonkey What theme are you using?
Phil
@Philip John - WPMU DEV I'm using Modularity by GraphPaperPress
Okay, I can't test that theme out as it's a premium one but I suspect that it's something specific to that theme. Can you see if you get the issue on the default theme?
Phil
Does anyone have an idea whats going on with my page? When "Products" are clicked, your taken to a blank page: http://blogtaculous.com/store/products/
Is it something with my PHP?
@Blogtaculous Try resetting permalinks by going to Settings > Permalinks and hitting the update button.
