[Plugin: MapPress Easy Google Maps] Does this plugin work with php 5?

    I have tried several times to install this plugin, versions 1.4.2, 1.4.1 and 1.4, however the wordpress tells me the activation failed every time.
    My site is running on php 5. Could that be the problem? Any idea how to get this to work?

    The problem was that I had uploaded the unzipped file via ftp. The solution was to install the zipped plugin via the dashboard automatic installer.
