• hello,
I just tried this maintenance-mode plugin noticing that, whenever used in combination with the other plugin theme-my-login, it produces the strange behaviour of disallowing, once logged out, the login procedure to get back the control of the site, displaying in the bottom area the message:

Fatal error: Call to a member function get_page_permastruct() on a non-object in /somepathtofiles/htdocs/wp-includes/link-template.php on line 274

instead of the normal login links. The same message appears when manually pointing to the mysite/wp-admin address.

obviously if I disable the theme-my-login plugin, the maintenance-mode runs smoothly.

the theme-my-login plugin can be found here: http://www.jfarthing.com/blog/2010/11/15/theme-my-login-6-0-4/

for a live preview of this all, my website is http://www.funkoolow.com

    thanks.

  • I get this too. In a different thread it was suggested that I deactivate some plugins recently activated or change the theme. However, I can’t even log into the site anymore. If I hit the main site or the admin page I get the same error. Being new to wordpress I have no clue what to do to get my site back up.

If you want to regain control of the login functionality and you are running your wordpress site on your own server (not wordpress.com), you can just log into your site via FTP and simply delete the plugin folder. This will restore the login functionality in maintenance mode.

Login via FTP and goto wp-content>plugins and delete the folder called theme-my-login

    Hope this helps
