Andre, let me renew the problem of configuring mailing. I think many people meet the same.

The are three ways to configure mailing, no one works:

    1. default SMTP configuration doesn't save configuration
=> "proc_open" php function is not available, you need to activate Connection_php_mail add-on.

    2. php_mail:
=> FAILED. Check your logs & settings !

    Log:
    MAILPRESS [NOTICE] - Disconnecting from db_sdgi1 (MP_Mail)
    MAILPRESS [NOTICE] - Disconnected (MP_Mail)
MAILPRESS [NOTICE] - Connecting to db_sdgi1 (MP_Mail send)
MAILPRESS [NOTICE] - Connected (MP_Mail send)
MAILPRESS [ERROR] - *** Mail could not be sent ***

    3. Sendmail:
=> "proc_open" php function is not available, you need to activate Connection_php_mail add-on.

I cannot change hosting it is a charity project.
I cannot change php.ini, proc_open is closed for safety reasons.
At the same time my Workpress sends registration confirmation e-mails successfully.
Doesn't it mean that mailpress should use the same way as Workpress does?
If not what else can I do?

proc_open() is disabled and cannot be enabled.
mail() is not disabled, but it hasn't passed the test.

    The following has passed.
    <?php mail ('nskv@ [...] .ru', 'test', 'test'); ?>
    But the plugin test fails.
