   Hi there,

   I’m getting desperated with the following problem: anytime I try a email-subscription from the subscription widget I get the “Error. Resend confirmation email failed” message.

   On the other hand, the email gets send, but the confirmation process also fails. The error message is: “ERROR # 5 (unknown user) ! Check you are using the appropriate link.”

   I read the messages with a similar problem, but they didn’t provide a solution for me.

   I also tried SMPT and PHP_mail, both options lead to the same results.
   The log shows always this content:

   My WordPress installation is version 3.2.1 and my provider is Hostgator

   I'm sorry but I didn't find a solution and finally changed to MailChimp which is doing great!

   I am having the same issue. It was working the last time I used it (a few months ago) and now I'm getting all of the errors mentioned above
