[Plugin: MailChimp Widget] onblur onfocus in email field

Hi I noticed there was a resolved thread asking about something similar, however, the jquery code given by the plugin author wasn’t very clear.

Rather than have an email field label would it be possible to have ‘Enter Email Address’ in the actual email field and have it disappear when used? I believe it’s called onfocus/onblur?

If there is a jquery code hack, would it be possible to tell me exactly where it will go? I’m not using the first and last name field, only the email field.
