    Hi.

    Newb here.

There seems to be an issue with my MailChimp widget... I'll enter a new name and email into the form, click 'submit', but then nothing happens and the contact information isn't added to my MailChimp list.

Any thoughts on what could be going on??

    Thanks,
    Mark

It works just like the signup form we host for you. You'll need to check for the confirmation email and click the link there.

That makes sense, but I'm not receiving an email and the 'subscribe' button just goes dead. The widget seems to just 'hang-up' once subscribe is clicked (until I move to another page).

I've deactivated and reactivated as well. Wondering if there's something on my website side that's going on?? But there's nothing new on the site that I can recall.

    hmmmm.

    Other thoughts?

    Thanks.

    mrsmith1313,

Did you get it working? Its more than likely an issue with js and there might be a conflict, which is why the form isnt doing anything and isnt being submitted.

    Thanks for checking in.

No luck so far. I think I may have a culprit though.

Just guessing here, but my BackupBuddy plugin is having some technical problems (recently started) and it may be affecting other features. Don't know though... I've disabled BackupBuddy, but no changes with the email signup.

Is there a simple way to diagnose?

Will it help if I start from scratch with the plugin files?

    Thx.

Okay - just went back into MailChimp settings and disabled the javascript function.

And... yes the subscription form worked just fine.

    Thanks for your help!
