• Hi,

This took me a while to work out what the issue was.

Basically I had another script that I’ve programmed as a events submission form that registered users can use. The issue was that the year was not displaying in jQuery date UI, until I looked at the source of the website I was unaware that mailchimp brings in it’s own jQuery that overwrites any other jQuery. I haven’t found a solution as of yet other than killing the mailchimp plugin while I work on the site. This is very frustrating!

  • Hey there, Stuart!

I’m assuming you’re seeing this in the datepicker UI? Does the issue persist if you disable just that specific javascript from the “MailChimp Setup” menu?

Ah! Pays to pay attention and look at what plugins settings there is. Thanks for the heads up.

    Hey there,

I’m having a similar problem to Stuart, but in my case it’s more extensive.

The scripts and css (flick.css) being added to the head of all my WordPress pages by the MC plugin are causing havoc with existing JQuery functionality and styles even on pages that do not display a MC form.

I think what I need to do is to completely remove the MC plugin from pages where the conflict occurs. I haven’t yet figured out how to do that. Fortunately, the pages where I want to use the MC plugin do not currently have any js or css conflicts with the plugin. However, that may not be so in the future.

Any ideas on how to solve my immediate problem, or to eliminate conflicts more generally? Thanks.

Or maybe turning off the JQuery datepicker as suggested above is indeed enough. That seems to have done the trick! 🙂

Radical! Glad to hear that things got worked out. 🙂

If you have any other questions, give us a shout!

    Cheers
