I went into add an item to a custom menu and the status would just hang without creating a menu item.
When I deactivated the mailchimp plugin I was able to add custom menu links.
This affected the ability to add custom links, posts, pages etc to the navigation menus.

We haven't been able to replicate that same behavior on our end with just the MailChimp plugin enabled. If you don't mind providing a few other details, are there any other plugins that are enabled, currently? Additionally, which version of WordPress are you currently running?
