[Plugin: List category posts] character limiting excerpt seems to fail

    This plugin is great! Thanks for the hardwork and support. I’m using it on several projects and should it continue to please, I’ll be sure to make a donation.

    One tiny issue however. The excerpt_size does not seem to limit to the preferred characters. The short code I’m using is:

    [catlist id=238 orderby=date order=asc class=recipelistleft excerpt_size=60 excerpt=yes numberposts=9]

    Hello Digital-Ninja,

    I meet the same trouble as yours. It sounds like you have fixed it. Could you please help and tell me how you fixed it ?

    In my list case, it appears that the plug-in won’t work after the third item.

    Please test release 0.25.1 and let me know if it fixes your excerpt issues. The excerpt now works like this:

    Parameter:

    • excerpt – Display the post’s excerpt. Default is ‘no’, use excerpt=yes to activate it. If you don’t have an excerpt in your post, the plugin will fetch this text from the content, striping its html tags and shortcodes. The limit is set by the excerpt_size parameter (55 words by default).
    • excerpt_size – Set the number of words to display from the excerpt. Default is 55. Eg: excerpt_size = 30

    It’s already on the site, so it’s just a matter of time before your WordPress installation tells you to update the plugin.
