• Hi,
I tried to submit a few link and nothing happen. What should I look for? what are the files that makes it work?

I changed nothing to the coding (well… with the exception of the few customization we spoke about on this forum). Actually, I did changed the name of the different field in the submission page. could it be the cause? http://www.aquariumslife.com/aquarium-directory/

    Thanks

  • I see. I had not thought of having someone put the link submission form on a different page than the link directory itself… The code that catches the submission is inside of the code that renders the list of links. I will have to change it so that it’s tied to the form instead.

I should be able to issue an update for this tonight.

Version 2.8.6 should do the trick. The main drawback of this method is that user submitted links might not show up right after being submitted if the admin sets the option to skip moderation. But I agree that this is a more sound design. A simple refresh would show the new link in that configuration.

humm… weird thing happened with that update. I’ll take some time to figure that out tomorrow.

Oh. Did I forgot to mention that any changes made to the plugin’s stylesheet get deleted if you perform an automatic update? It looks like you lost your stylesheet changes. Sorry about that. Let me know if you need help re-creating it.

Ok, the links are back to normal! The only weird thing is that everytime I change something to the files and save, I get a blank page. I always have to reopen the editor.

It’s not only doing this when I save changes to the link library… it’s doing this with all plugins and also when I save new posts 😕

Many people wrote me saying the site is showing blank pages once in a while so I decided to shut the directory down until this is figured out.

Does any others have this problem with the new update?

I have never heard of such a problem with blank pages coming up. It sounds like a more general problem from the way that you are describing it affecting many places of your site including posting… Have you tried searching more general in the WordPress forums?

The plugin submission process seems very obscure and undefined.

It has taken 10 days for my submission to be enabled, and I have not received access to SVN. I am wondering whether I have mistakes or infringements in my plugin?

enclick, I am not sure why you are posting this to the link-library forum. You might have better luck contacting the WordPress admins.
