    Hi there,

I'm wondering if it's possible to do the following with the Link Library plugin.

I'd like a Page on my site titled Link Directory. On that page, I'd like all of my link categories listed (but not the links themselves). The categories should then link to a new page which lists all the links for that category. It would look something like this:

    Page: Link Directory
    Link Category A
    Link Category B
    Link Category C

    Page: Link Category A
    Link
    Link

    Page: Link Category B
    Link
    Link

Is this possible? I have a couple reasons for wanting to do this, mainly increasing pageviews and selling ad space for each specific link category.

    Thanks in advance.

Almost. But maybe not exactly to the level that you are looking for.

You can use the link library category shortcode on one page and the link library shortcode on a different page, then set the category target address field to the url of the page with the link library shortcode. This will set the links on the category page to point to the library page, with the category ID as a parameter to the address to show the right category.

Now, if you have a bit of code on the library page that checks the category ID in the get parameters to determine what ad to show, then you'd be all set.

If that is not a possibility or sounds too complicated, a more manual way to achieve this would be to create a bunch of pages, each with the link library short code and a category override to specify which category to show. You could then create the list of categories by adding links in the wordpress link editor pointing to each of your link pages and using Link Library to list all of these page links.

Let me know if this helps,

    Yannick

I think your first suggestion did it. Thanks so much.
