    Hi,

    Thanks for your effort keeping the plugin updated.

    5.7.9 fixed the fatal error. Unfortunately I'm still having issues displaying links. The categories display fine, but no links - just the message 'no links found' - http://www.crookedsticks.dk/ressourcer/. I did come across a syntax error in the console error on the link-add screen though:

    mbonly', cid: '', filepath: 'link-library-images', linkid: };

    (line 408, ../wp-admin/link-add.php)

    Thanks
    Rune

    Sorry for the trouble. I will look into the issue tonight and post an update.

    Hi Rune,

    The javascript issue that you highlighted has been resolved in version 5.7.9.1.

    For the fact that no links are showing up, could you turn on debug mode, found under the General Settings section of the plugin? That will add some HTML comments on your page that will help me figure out what is happening and how you have Link Library configured.

    I went through all of my regular tests with the new version and they are showing up correctly, so it must be a particular combination of settings that you have set that is causing this to happen.

    Thanks for looking into it Yannick!

    I've updated to the latest release. That took care of the javascript error. Still no output of links though.

    Just to be sure I did a clean install of wordpress on a fresh database - same result.

    I've enabled the debug mode on both. The original page is here and the fresh one here.

    Enabling user submission I also get the following error (both installs):

    Fatal error: Call to undefined function wp_set_link_cats() in /home/www/domain.com/wp-content/plugins/link-library/link-library.php on line 2157

    Moderation queue displays a number in the left dashboard sidebar. But no links show up to moderate on the link-library-moderate page.

    Hi Rune,

    I fixed the wp_set_link_cats issue in version 5.7.9.2. Thanks for finding that one.

    However, I did not see a clear reason why no links are coming up on your site. Are you familiar enough with PHPMyAdmin to try running the following SQL query on your site?

    SELECT distinct *, l.link_id as proper_link_id, UNIX_TIMESTAMP(l.link_updated) as link_date, IF (DATE_ADD(l.link_updated, INTERVAL 120 MINUTE) >= NOW(), 1,0) as recently_updated FROM wp_terms t LEFT JOIN wp_term_taxonomy tt ON (t.term_id = tt.term_id) LEFT JOIN wp_term_relationships tr ON (tt.term_taxonomy_id = tr.term_taxonomy_id) LEFT JOIN wp_links l ON (tr.object_id = l.link_id) LEFT JOIN wp_links_extrainfo le ON (l.link_id = le.link_id) WHERE tt.taxonomy = 'link_category' AND l.link_visible != 'N' ORDER by name ASC, l.link_name ASC

    This is what Link Library tries to run before saying that it did not find any links. Show me any errors that come up when you try to execute this statement.

    Another quick question: was this a recent new install of Link Library or one that had been in place for sometime and upgraded?

    If this was a new installation, try updating to 5.7.9.2, and make sure to deactivate and reactivate the plugin. This will fix the problem with no links coming up on new installations.

    Thanks Yannick! Your updates did the trick concerning the display of links.

    To follow up on your other points:

    I ran the SQL query on both installs and received the following error in both cases:

    #1146 - Table 'db_name.wp_links_extrainfo' doesn't exist

    The original problem ocurred in an install that had been in place for some time. But in the course of troubleshooting I cleaned it out and installed a new version. So probably best to assume that it behaves like a new install.

    However concerning user submission I now get the following error when submitting links in the front end:

    Fatal error: Call to undefined method link_library_plugin::remove_querystring_var() in /home/www/mydomain.com/wp-content/plugins/link-library/usersubmission.php on line 249

    The link is still submitted though and as opposed to earlier I can now moderate it in the back end.

    Sorry about mixing up this thread with what now seems to be an unrelated error with front end user submissions btw...

    The display issue is resolved but the user submission issue persists.

    Should I open a new thread following up on the latter?

    Thanks
    Rune
