I’m trying to embed an audio player inside the Like Gate shortcode tags, but every single one I’ve tried—Audio Player, Haiku Player, ES Audio Player, WS Audio Player, WP Music Player, Media Element—has failed. All of these players work fine on my site when I’m not using Like Gate so it’s not a problem with the players or broken links. It seems as though the Like Gate parser is mangling shortcodes inside of the [like-gate][/like-gate] tags, so that when someone clicks “like” the audio player is not revealed, just a blank space.

Here is the code I’m using inside a post/page (for Audio Player as an example):

    [like-gate]
    [audio:http://www.mydomain.com/path/to/my_mp3_file.mp3%5D
    [/like-gate]

Please fix this, I really want to use Like Gate on my website!

EDIT: got it to work by using the iframe plugin: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/iframe/

Please add this to the Like Gate FAQs, it is not at all obvious to a WordPress noob like myself why iframe should work when all these Flash & HTML5 players don’t.

When you install the plugin there is a Like Gate > FAQ which mentions that javascript won’t appear and suggests an IFRAME approach

I see it now, don’t know why I missed it before. Thanks, and Like Gate is a great plug-in! I’ll remove my “doesn’t work” vote from the plug-in page now. 🙂
