lightbox for youtube on their page is working for me. I just spent about an hour trying to get it working on my own site. Finally found the problem
Current youtube links look something like this – http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gAXhhVWLt50
if you paste this into the lightbox html code it will not work.
However if you change the url to (removing the “watch?v=”)
https://youtube.com/watch?v=gAXhhVWLt50
and paste that into the lightbox html it works perfectly. I guessing they have not added the new type of youtube links to pull the video.
You can see the working version here – http://www.dubtechnoblog.com/2012/10/14/free-tune-yan-olsen-ante-nebula/ (click on the “Tidloshet” link to see it working)
I’m also having trouble getting the YouTube lightbox to work. When I tried the code from the CODE box in the demo (which lacks “cboxElement” class), it opened in full screen. When I copied the HTML from the source, the whole screen goes white… When I copied your code, TheHighPlainsDrifter, it also went all white. bummer 🙁
send me the youtube link and I will get it working on my blog to show you it working along with the code
I have manage to make it work by linking to an HTML file which contanis the embed code for the YouTube video.
I know this is not a real solution but I hope it could be of some help for you while the problem is fixed.
I’m using Lightbox Plus ColorBox (v2.6). Does anyone have the HTML code for a YouTube video linked to an image on my WordPress page? I want the user to click on the image and the YouTube Video pops up.
Ignore that ? above. When I click on the image i redirects me to the original YouTube page. The lightbox doesn’t pop-up. I have use the Secondary Lightbox. Any ideas? See: http://www.matrixmarketinggroup.com/pay-for-performance-public-relations (it’s the second iPad)
