[resolved] Use with Google Streetview? (5 posts)

I'm loving this plug-in - thanks so much for it!

I was wondering if it's possible to use it with Google Streetview. I want let my site's visitors explore the area my book's set in, and an overview map just isn't the same.

If Streetview isn't possible, is there something you'd recommend instead?

I'm not very tech savvy, so sorry if I'm missing something obvious!

    Thanks again.

    Hi Kat,

    Thats great to hear :-)

Concerning streetview: this isnt actually a feature which has to be supported by my plugin. If streetview is available in the area where you put your markers, you can enable it by using the person-icon in Google Earth. Just tested it with a location in New York: switched to street view and marker was visible.

Please let me know when your maps are finished - I am still looking for some good showcases of the plugin.
    Regards,

    Robert

I'll definitely let you know, Robert, as soon as my site's ready to promote. :) I plan to use the maps for a couple of different things.

Sorry for being dense, but I'm not all that quick with technology. I've created a layer and a marker. I've put it on a page. How would a viewer come to that page and get it into Google Earth?

When you create a map with panel enabled (by default), you´ll see icons on the top right corner of the map. If you click on the blue one, you´ll get the KML link for the map, which openes in Google Earth if installed on your computer.
    Regards,
    Robert
