I've just noticed that short codes for subfolder don't seem to work if the subfolder name has a space in it.

    [lg_folder folder="installations/testfolder" paging="true"] <--works

    [lg_folder folder="installations/test folder" paging="true"] <--- doesn't work

    [lg_folder folder="installations/test%20folder" paging="true"] <--- doesn't work

Hmm, very strange, I wonder why it doesn't work here. If I have a space in the folder name I get an error message that it cannot find the folder.

For now I will just tell the user not to use spaces in subfolder names :)

Would an example page be any use? Or a log or something?

what other plugin do you use?
BTW an underscore in a folder name will also display as a space. ;-)

I couldn't reproduce this error on our testserver.
Do you use the WYSIWYG or the HTML editor?

I use both, but in this case I used the WYSIWYG editor to type in the shortcodes.

Please check in the html editor if the code has changed.
I have seen some errors where quotes were replaced by curly quotes.

I had a look again, but it all seems okay. No changes to the quote marks or anything else that I can see.

If it's useful the error message that appears on the published page is this:

"Lazyest Gallery cannot access installations/test folder"

Wild guess, but this error also appears when the folder contents is not readable.

I think it should be okay, it has the same contents as the readable folder.

Oh well, nevermind, the users will just have to get used to not putting a space into a new folders they create.

    Thanks for looking into it!

    One last remark,
If the error message is "Lazyest Gallery cannot access installations/test folder" (including the space), the shortcode is parsed correctly. It looks like there may be an access error after all.

That's interesting. I originally only had one folder of images, which was uploaded via ftp. That seems to work fine, no problems displaying any of it.

However I created the sub-folder 'test folder' using the Lazyiest Gallery interface, and moved images from the main 'installations' folder into the subfolder using the LG interface as well. Is it possible that LG can create the folder, and move files to it, but not be able to access it later?

I can't find anything in LG what could have caused this. I have tried on LAMP, WAMP, IIS, installed all your plugins, moved files in LG, FTP, cPanel and Windows, created 'test folder'in LG and FTP, but it keeps working fine.
It's still puzzling me, so if you happen to find out why this happens, please leave a remark on the Lazyest web site http://brimosoft.nl/lazyest/gallery/
    Thanks
