   Is there a limit or suggested limit for number of pictures in one album?

   Is there a suggested number of pictures per page for fast loading but not so many pages to look through?

   It all depends on your server power.
   If you have a fast server, you could have many images in a folder.
   If you are on a slow shared server, you'd better don't go over 100-150 images per folder.

   Settings that could slow down your page loading are:

   • random images from subfolders if you have many images in subfolders
   • folders sorted by caption
   • folders sorted manually

   Please try a caching plugin like WP Super Cache

   I have over 1000 in one album and it doesn't seem slow so far. I was just wondering. Thank you.
