Is this plug-in still being supported?
The plugin supports JSON output for the standard taxonomies Category (‘get_category_posts’ in the URL) or Tag (‘get_tag_posts’). As far as I know this plugin doesn’t hae standard support for outputting WordPress custom taxonomy queries. You would have to write a custom controller for that, like I did for getting JSONP information on the WordPress options. Information on how to write your own controller for this plugin is in the section: “Other notes > 5.2 Developing JSON API controllers”, http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/json-api/other_notes/.
For the custom WordPress options controller that I wrote, see http://wordpress.org/support/topic/plugin-json-api-added-a-custom-controller-for-querying-wordpress-options?replies=1. As you can see, it’s only a few lines of code.
In a custom taxonomy controller like you need, you would have to query by one of your taxonomies like described here: http://codex.wordpress.org/Taxonomies.
I have a question for the taxonomies query. Can someone made this plugin feature to be available on this JSON API with [Query Multiple Taxonomies]
http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/query-multiple-taxonomies/screenshots/
I think this will able solve all the custom taxonomies and terms from the query.
In addition, I would like query a custom term and include its description field, slug, id, title, or image field.
