[Plugin: jQuery Colorbox] Jquery Colorbox – Plugin FAIL

    I’m trying to activate the plugin.
    It gives me this message:

    Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STATIC, expecting T_OLD_FUNCTION or T_FUNCTION or T_VAR or ‘}’ in /home/content/s/t/e/stephanieshrum/html/home/wp-content/plugins/jquery-colorbox/jquery-colorbox.php on line 388

    I have No idea what this means. Please help!!!

    Okay… Now I have a really interesting problem.
    I downloaded a Different plugin – Lightbox Plus – and uploaded that.

    And it gave me this message:

    Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING, expecting T_OLD_FUNCTION or T_FUNCTION or T_VAR or ‘}’ in /home/content/s/t/e/stephanieshrum/html/home/wp-content/plugins/lightbox-plus/classes/shd.class.php on line 85

    Any ideas?

    Hi,
    these errormessages are displayed if you use my plugin with PHP version 4.
    Unfortunately, it won’t work until you update to version 5.

    what do you mean? PHP Version 5? I don’t understand.

    Hi,
    where do you host your website? They should know what I am talking about, and most probably they should be able to update the version.
    The programming language that WordPress is written in is PHP, and my plugin (and others) are using features of the latest version.

    this website is hosted on Godaddy!!!!! Why am I not surprised!?! They are the biggest thumbs down web hosting company ever. Fortunately it’s not my site; i would never host on them… I’ve also never seen an issue prop up from this Php thing before. strange… thanks for the heads up.
