    Hi,

    I’d like to have the menu auto-expand exactly as it is, (opening categories when a page in the category is loaded), except that on the home page (static), about 75% of the drop downs are auto expanded for no reason I can find.

    Can someone please offer a solution? I can’t use the auto-expand if I can’t remove that from the home page.

    Thank you.
    Rick

    An update to this unresolved question;

    Certain menu items auto-expand (while others do not) when any page set as the index page is displayed.

    The only information I can find on the plugin site is;

    “Auto-expand will automatically expand sub-menus on page load using the inherent CSS classes allocated by the WordPress custom menu system.

    and

    “Auto Expand Based on Current Page/Item
    If selected the menu will use the inherent WordPress menu system for identifying the users current page and automatically expand the sub-menus. Useful if users browse to pages via other links.”

    Could someone please help me understand the “inherent WordPress menu system”. This seems a bit cryptic.

    Thank you 🙂

    Found the problem;

    I had Disable Parent Links on, but had the index page url within some parent links.

    This caused those links to seen as children of the index page.
