    I have a problem during migration from Joomla 1.0.12 to WordPress 3.1
    your plugin work properly all data and categories migrate well, but i have problem with links, i want to save old links, because they are indexed by google and our local search machine called yandex.
    the problem is while migrating the ID of the posts in WP are not the same as Joomla post ID, the problem not in structure, but in every ID.. the first post in Joomla database has ID24 and after migration to wordpress it has ID1 and all the next post changes their location in all categories. this is screenshots of databases.

    thank you for your help!!

    You're probably going to need to use a plugin such as Redirection. You can check what links are breaking, then set up redirections for them.

    @debugqizards:

    You'll see I am working on a solution for this issue over at http://wordpress.org/support/topic/best-practices-for-migration-from-joomla-to-wordpress?replies=13#post-2492874

    Another forum user has very kindly helped me identify the issue and how I might go about fixing it. I'll let you know when I have it resolved. Which hopefully will be in the next 20 minutes or so.
