[Plugin: JJ NextGen JQuery Carousel] Backslashes are being added before every single quote

Hi guys

I am using the jjnextgen carousel plugin and I noticed a problem. Basically, the alt text and title tags for each of the images shown in the carousel have a backslash added before every single quotation mark. For example, if a picture has an alt text or title like ‘Alex’s hat’ it is displayed as ‘Alex\’s hat.’ has anyone experienced this before? I’ve tried using stripslashes to fix this but it doesn’t seem to work. I would appreciate any help or advice on this.
