Twitter-Jetpack not showing up in widgets (12 posts)

In the jetpack dashboard, the twitter box has only "learn more" not configure. In the instructions, it says to look for "Twitter-Jetpack" to use as a widget.

I have older "Twitter" widgets available, but they don't say "Jetpack" (nor do they work, the user info just clears out of the form when you click 'save' in the widget)

Not sure if the widget is actually called "Twitter-Jetpack" or is really just "Twitter" and it's indeed not working.

Either way, looking to find a way to get a *working* widget for Twitter feeds. Thanks

If you look under Appearance > Widgets you should see a widget called "Twitter (Jetpack)" in the list. If you don't see it then make sure that you have the Twitter Widget module activated on the Jetpack settings screen.

I don't have it in the Widgets section. I have a different one (that I can't seem to remove) called "Twitter" and I'm pretty sure this is not it.

In the Jetpack settings dashboard, the only button that is under "Twitter Widget" is "Learn More" (as opposed to others that have "Configure" next to this button). I click on that, it only tells me what you tell me above.

Any other ideas? Is there somewhere else this can be turned on/off that I've missed?

    Thanks!

Same problem here. The Jetpack Twitter widget does not appear under Available Widgets or Inactive Widgets.

There is no Activate or Configure button under the widget on the Jetpack dashboard. However, when I click Learn More a "Deactivate" button appears.

    Broken.

Just an added data point ---

If I click "Deactivate", I then get the "Activate" button. If I click that, it says the widget is now activated, but it still does not appear in my list of widgets.

I am having the exact same problem - I'm self-hosted, I have WordPress 3.1.3 installed, and I have Jetpack installed. "Twitter (Jetpack)" does not appear in my list of Widgets.

I had the same problem. After disabling another twitter plugin I was using, the Twitter (Jetpack) widget appeared. Now it's working fine!

@ggarnier, would you mind saying WHICH plugin you disabled? Thanks!

Actually, I had 2 twitter plugins installed. I removed both: Twitter for WordPress (http://rick.jinlabs.com/code/twitter) and Twitter Widget Pro (http://xavisys.com/wordpress-plugins/wordpress-twitter-widget/)

Thanks for the fast reply. Can I follow up: You first mentioned you disabled them, but did you actually remove them totally? I ask as I'd like to try this out to see if I have success. Thanks again

    I just disabled both plugins.
