  • +1 for this. I was Googling this very issue and this post came up. It’d be great if WP would add it to Jetpack.

For sure. There are few more sites that could go on the wishlist of Jetpack. I find their upgrades rather slow, dull and behind times. It is indeed frustrating that we can’t add it on our own. Well at least I can’t, since I am not a programmer. 🙁

Just adding that I would love a Pinterest button in my Jetpack Sharing too!

I did mention this to the Jetpack support team and to my surprise, I got a pleasant reply. They said they will include the suggestion, since many users are requesting it and would probably include in their next update/upgrade.

So till then I guess patience is what we ought to have.

We’ll be doing a refresh of Sharing in Jetpack that includes Pinterest. I can’t provide an ETA yet, but please know we hear you and we’re working on the update 🙂

There is not much difference in not being heard and being heard, but being ignored. People have been asking for a Pinterest share button for nearly 6 months now. How long should it really take?

I too have been very dissatisfied with the frequency and quality of Jetpack updates has been lacking. I’d be willing to have them charge if it meant they would improve the service.

I agree with bcarter79 It should not take 6 months to add a sharing button. I only have one site using Jetpack out of the 50 builds I have done this year for one reason. That lack you can do with the sharing options etc…

    • You can’t easily put it into your own theme
    • You can’t easily add your own services
(I have no clue how to add Pinterest using the tools provided)
    • If the rest of WordPress ran like Jetpack I would never use the product.

That’s my two cents… Where you agree with my opinion is different story…

No progress yet?? Oh boy … this is sad. 🙁

    +1

    Looking forward to it.

I’ve been mucking about with my own jetpack, and gonna post up tomorrow a version with a Pinterest button in it.

Hi Barry, I receive an error message by clicking on that link.

    Any progress? Anyone?

Also interested in getting Pinterst added…Anyone know of any workarounds that also add the featured image to the pin?

@ vegansparkles Should be working now.

Looks like my WordPress posts table decided to commit suicide. All fixed now.
Sorry in the delay I missed your post.

@ Sarah. My Pinterest button tries to uses the Post’s featured image as the image to pin
