I just activated the new JetPack which came with comments. I activated it and it works fine. However, it has no option to add reCAPTCHA. My current comment system has reCAPTCHA which I think will prevent a lot of spam.

Is there way to add reCAPTCHA OR is JetPack Comment prevent spam somehow? (Since it is a pull down comment form or something?)

FYI, http://sanuja.com/blog/ this is the site.

    Thank you.

For now I have deactivated it because I would like to have reCAPTCHA.

We don’t have plans to integrate reCAPTCHA. You can look at Akismet for anti-spam.

that sucks, would’ve been great if the comment and registration form had a captcha, I use Akismet as well, it works great, but it does not have a captcha.

@tim or anyone that can help, how can I edit the Jetpack comment form, I want to remove the website field.

    Thanks!

@brownsone73: currently, you can not edit the form since we load it through an iFrame. We may look at putting some options for this in in the future, but I don’t know when that may be.

Since installing Jetpack my BWS captcha plugin no longer works. Is there a captcha plugin that does work with jetpack? Forget Akismet….

Jetpack Comments is not be compatible with Captcha plugins like BWS captcha. Since the Jetpack comment form is hosted on WordPress.com and added to your site via an iFrame, Captcha plugins can’t hook into that comment form at the moment.

Akismet, however, can be used with Jetpack Comments, and will filter all comments submitted through the Jetpack comment form.

If you want to use Jetpack but prefer to keep using the BWS captcha plugin, you can deactivate the Jetpack Comments module by following the instructions here:

    Jeremy,

    That worked a treat… Forgot about deactivation…

    Many thanks
