I created a site using the Genesis Framework and child theme that have widgeted home pages... I want to insert the Jetpack Subscription Widget into one of the widget areas... Not a problem, however, I need the form to be all on one simple line with the Email Subscription box and button all inline... I can not find the code to edit this... it's just a simple change from two lines into one... can someone guide me on this?

    Thanx

The code is in modules/subscriptions.php starting around line 343. I'd be caeful modifying this in place as future Jetpack updates will overwrite what you do.

Could you give me an example code and what to change? Coding is not my forte... ;)

    Thanx

Look at line 585 it that file. Likely you just want to update that HTML. Beyond that, you've got the example code in the plugin. There's also the Widgets API Codex page that walks you through how widgets are made.

Thanks for the guidance but still stuck.

I have a big gap between the subscription widget title and the optional text and sign up field.

Where is the CSS code to fix the margin or padding between these areas?

Or do you know what font or h# it is using?

My other widgets are fine, just this one being an issue.
    Many thanks,

    Simon

I am having this same issue. It's really annoying that the the box to enter the email and the "Subscribe" button are on 2 different lines.

I would really love to fix this too!
