after doing what jeanpatrick says here http://wordpress.org/support/topic/plugin-invite-friends-fatal-error-when-i-activate , there's no menu invite friends.
Inserting [invitefriends] in a page gives a form with broken images. The images path is wp-content/plugins/bp-invitefriends/images/ , but the plugin is automaticaly installed in wp-content/plugins/invitefriends-plug-in. This dir has a subdir bp-invitefriends with the required images
