[Plugin: Invite Anyone] Broken Plugin.

    Fails to send email to user(s)
    This is active on seperate BP and also sitwide BP,
    Fails on both occations,
    I’ve tested this from the begining and has only ever worked once,
    Even then the sent email didn’t work,
    Nice plugin if it would work for everyone,
    Think you’ll need more testing, Especially with custom themes.

    I’m now in the process of writing my own to work with WordPress/Buddypress sites as i already have similar versions working with Joomla & Drupal sites.

    The 13000+ download count for the plugin indicates that the plugin works for most users.

    Instead of sinking large amounts of time into developing your own version to work with WordPress/Buddypress, perhaps you could give some more meaningful feedback than “Fails to send email” so that the plugin could be improved for everyone.

    What kind of custom theme are you using? Is it a child of bp-default? The only theme customizations that would affect the way Invite Anyone works (as far as I can think of, at least) have to do with the registration templates at [theme directory]/registration. Have you adapted these templates heavily?

    In any case, if IA is not sending emails, it is unlikely that the problem is theme related, as the theme has nothing to do with the email process. More likely there is a plugin or configuration conflict. Have you deactivated any of the core BP components? In particular, have you deactivated Friends or Groups? What are your configuration settings at Dashboard > BuddyPress > Invite Anyone?

    i have installed IA on my site, w-cook.com, and invitations dont go out.
    am i doing something wrong ???

    Sandro – Are other BuddyPress emails sending properly? For instance, when one member requests a friendship or sends a private message, are emails sent?
