Hi there
Whenever i want to install a plugin via the WP backend, it asks me for a FTP-Account.
But i ensured with chmod777 that apache and user-www has full writing permissions on the WP folder.
Uploading a Media File or editing a theme is no problem. But installation of plugins fail.
Why does the plugin installation script require ftp account when it easily can download the files directly?
Plugin installation requires FTP credentials, no matter if chmod 777 or not (1 post)
