   Maybe the archive you downloaded is corrupted. Try downloading it again.

   I'm getting the same error. On WP 3.3 and using ver .3.1. All plugins are disabled and tried both through download from WP and from Add plugin in dashboard. Even d/l ver .3.0 and got same error. Is this ver compatible with WP 3.3?

   @vivianrollins: Yes, it is compatible and working for hundreds of other users.
   After a quick Google search I found that the error can happen randomly when installing a plugin via the upload tool. Try the following instead:

   1. Go to the 'Add New' plugins screen in your WordPress admin area
   2. Search for 'Import Users from CSV'
   3. Click 'Install Now' and activate the plugin

   Hi Ulrich, I've tried both ways to install the plugin - both using the upload and the search and install function but both failed. I've also tried using the default WP theme as well as trying this on older versions of WP installations all all ended up with this error. Can you send me the plugin via email at vivian dot rollins AT yahoo email address? Thanks in advance!

   Update:
   Ulrich has suggested that I upload the plugin via FTP and that worked!
