Hey. This plugin is exactly what I was looking for but for some reason I cannot activate it!
I get the following error when clicking 'activate'..
Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.
No further info than that. Am I missing a common issue?
I'm running php5 on my server.
Any help would be appreciated.

What WordPress release do you use?
Did you try to run through a plugin debugging process, unactivating every plugin, and activating them one by one?
Certainly a plugin conflict... let me know if it does change anything unactivating all plugins.

Nice one mate. Through debugging I have identified that it was WP-Twitter plugin that was causing the problems:

I've removed that plugin now. There are a few other plugins that do the same thing so I'll see if I can find one that is compatible with all my desired plugins!
