    Is anyone using this in WP2.7.1?

    My ability to assign a template to a specific post has been missing since my upgrdade from 2.6...

    Where do I assign the template to that post? I checked 'screen options' etc -no joy.

    The assignment of category template from the drop down does not stick either.

    Been trying to use this great plug in on 2.7 as well.

    The thing that doesn't work for me is that, once i put

    <?php /*
         Category Template: Custom Template Name
         Template URI: URL for template designer
         Description: A short description goes here.
         */ ?>

    at the top of my category template, I cannot display and select any template in manage > categories admin panel.

    Apam: did you do any typing changes in the code above or into the settings > Idealien cats where it says: Category Template Prefix:?

    Would you kindly paste here how you made it work?

    Regards.

    @Partireper.it - Make sure the filename you save your files as match to that category Template Prefix so category-blog.php by default. There is an issue currently if you are using a child theme. One workaround is to put the template files in the parent theme folder, but that is obviously not an elegant solution. Working on a better one.

    @musnake - "Where do I assign the template to that post?" You create a category template and then assign that to the category. With that done you can create a post file with the same naming (category-portfolio.php begat single-portfolio.php) and that post template will get picked up at render time of the page. Currently you cannot select a post template from within the admin console, though that is something I want to add to the next release.
