  • Love the plugin. It’s really awesome that all sorts of code snippets that are prone to the visual editor’s well-intended but still disastrous ‘correction’ has a safe and reliable solution. Highly recommend it for e.g. PayPal button inclusions.

    However…

I see that registered WP users with the ‘author’ creds can mess with the defined codes, and even delete them. Not so good when you have a larger community type WP install, where authors aren’t (necessarily) savvy enough to know where not to stick their nose in…

What do I need to change in the code to ensure that only admin (‘level 1’) users can change the code snippets? In principle, I wouldn’t mind authors (and perhaps even editors) to be able to create new code snippets, but that’s quite likely far past the scope of this current user scope limitation request.

Thanks in advance for the help!

  • I agree. I create many sites for clients and use this plugin often to add complicated code to pages. I then use White Label CMS Plugin to make the backend look easy for the client, but this plug-in still shows up in the editor permissions.

I suggest either making this plug-in Admin permissions only, or make an option for us to choose who which type of users can access this. I’d appreciate an update on this, or at least some explanation on how we can edit it ourselves. Thanks.
