• My sitemaps are generated by the Yoast seo plugin. When I have the grunion plugin enabled, the sitemap comes up as a parsing error. When I disable the plugin everything works great.

    site is http://emcrit.org

    Much Thanks

  • What is the error that comes up?

When grunion is enabled and I go to the sitemap url, I get this error:

    XML Parsing Error: not well-formed
    Location: http://emcrit.org/sitemap.xml
    Line Number 679, Column 47: <loc>http://emcrit.org/?post_type=feedback&p=1196</loc>

if I delete that particular feedback that is causing the error, the next grunion feedback causes a similar error. Google won’t crawl the sitemap with these errors if I am interpreting the webmaster tools correctly.

If I disable grunion, everything works perfectly again.

    Thank you for your help.

I wonder if the Yaost seo plugin has a general issue with custom post_types. Any word from Yoast on what this might be?

    Joseph,

I think you might be right. I disabled the sitemaps in Yoast and went back to google xml sitemaps plug-in, which works fine with grunion.
