For feedback from the author of a plugin, it's always best to check their own site, rather than the general WordPress.org forum. (It's just by sheer dumb luck that I stumbled on your post just now; I might not be here again for months.)
But to your question: you've said the head description that you've set "for that post that displays on the homepage are not getting overwritten"... The home page displays the description and keywords that you have specified for the home page, while individual posts display the description and keywords you've set for that individual post. So, if you mean to say that you'd like your homepage keywords and description to change on a regular basis, depending upon what post happens to be at the top of the heap that day, I'm afraid that what you're seeing is a 'feature', not a bug. ;-)
If I've misunderstood, and you're saying that you never see individual posts displaying the information you've entered for description and keywords, then it's more likely that your theme is missing the all-important
wp_head call, that another plugin is messing with your
head section via output buffer hacks, or that gremlins have invaded your back yard.
I hope that help!
All the best,
