I decided to give this a shot again, even though it didn't work out on another site a few months ago. The concept is strong, it's just that it doesn't actually operate as promised. Specifically:
Hide/show options for list view and single view seem to have no effect
Search function is buggy
Incidentally, I have no problem paying for plugins, but they do have to work as advertised.

In version 3.2.2, I have updated the hide/show options - they should now work properly. I also updated the search functionality, which now works better. Sorry for the issues you had.
Please note that the Gravity Forms Directory plugin is not provided by Rocketgenius (the makers of Gravity Forms). Their work is almost always flawless!
