    Hey There,

This plugin is great! Thanks for your hard work.
I've used custom post types UI to create my post types and taxonomies.
When hitting the advanced tab in the Title field I can choose one of my custom post types. Nice.
When hitting the advanced tab in the Category field I see no mention of taxonomies.

I'm using Gravity 1.5.2.8 and the latest version of your plugin. The taxonomies I want to use are hierarchal... and I've even tried the old css method just to check. No dice.

    Any ideas?

    Hi there

Instead of the categories field, rather use the drop down field. The taxonomy option should appear then and it will save the taxonomy when saving the custom post type

    Cheers
    Brad

    Hey Brad,

Of course! That worked just fine. Sorry if I read it wrong. It picked up all of my taxonomies perfectly.

    Thanks for your speedy response,
    Jason

I'm running into a related issue with trying to use the Post Custom Field type with a Field Type as dropdown, the option to populate by taxonomy does not exist. The standard dropdown field type shows it properly.

Can get around it via the hooks in GF to populate dynamic, but this would be great to enable via the form so that import / export of forms brings with it that much more logic than code when re-deploying as a part of a plugin for custom post type.

    hi idealien,

Does it make sense to store a taxonomy as a custom field? Surely you want to link it to the taxonomy rather than just store the taxonomy value?

Yes b/c I had a custom meta box on the post type editor window which stores all the data in custom fields, only some of which were taxonomy. If I remember the issue I was working towards when I posted that, it had something to do with The Events Calendar as well.

    Hi Brad,
I ran into this issue today a few times too:
"I'm running into a related issue with trying to use the Post Custom Field type with a Field Type as dropdown, the option to populate by taxonomy does not exist. The standard dropdown field type shows it properly."

I would like to link it to the taxonomy, but also have the option to save that value to a custom field at the same time. So having the "populate by taxonomy" option in Custom fields would be great!

    hey guys,

OK cool I will add the populate from taxonomy option on the custom field dropdown and checkbox and radio buttons. Should be pretty simple to add
