Gravity Forms + Custom Post Types
[resolved] Can't get it to work (7 posts)

Hi, I just installed the plugin v1.0 (on WP 3.1 + GF 1.4.5) and I can't get it to work. It's should be really simple, and still it doesn't show the posts under the custom post type I defined.

I'm creating custom post types with the Custom Post Type UI plugin (http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/custom-post-type-ui/)

I checked the source code and the CSS class "posttype-events" is there, but then nothing in the backend under "Events", the form entries appear only in the Gravity Forms section.

Any lead on what might be going wrong?

    Hi Mike
I originally tested the plugin with custom post type UI, so that should be all good.
Is it saving a normal post when the form is submitted?
Where are you saving the CSS class name? On to a field or the form itself?

    Hi bradvin,

Nope, it's not saving any post, just the entry in GForms.

I'm saving the css class in the From settings (the first bloc of the form), on the "advanced" tab.

    Hi Mike
I think the problem is you are not using a post field in your form so the form is not trying to save a post when the form is submitted. I assume you have an event name or similar? Replace that field with a 'post title' field and you should be good to go...

You're right! Duh, that was an obvious mistake, I'm just discovering GForms..

Thanks a lot for the (very) fast replies and this awesome plugin!
