Katz, et al:
If you are having trouble with your Constanct Contact credentials authenticating the plugin, try chaning your CC username from your email address to a username that doesn't contain special characters. (e.g. <usr> jerryspizza@gmail.com should be changed to <usr> jerryspizza)
You can do this by logging into Constant Contact-->My Account-->Update Account Settings (menu on right)-->User Name
I had issues for several hours today with a client site and this was the solution (even after password changes and a hsot of other things.
Hope it helps!

Thanks for the how-to, nwtechie! I'll spread the word!

Get their other plugin http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/constant-contact-api/
which they say in the read me "removed dependency" on; but I needed it.
1. install gravity form constant contact add-on.
2. errors connecting with username/changes/special characters not working
3. install the api plugin mentioned above.
4. connect with that plugin, then go back and connect with the gforms add-on
5. works like a charm.

I have tried every suggestion from support and I still can't get the GForms-CC plugin to recognize my correct username/pw (including the steps listed above).
The username has no numbers or special characters.
The password has no numbers or special characters.
The Constant Contact for WP plugin works just fine.
I have un-installed and reinstalled the plugin.
The Gravity Forms Constant Contact Add-On will not recognize my correct username and password combo.
Any other help or suggestions would be most welcome.

I was never able to get it to work. I even tried debugging the plugin code to see what the problem was, but gave up.
Formstack integrates seamlessly with Constant Contact and that's what I ended up using.
Too bad because the plugin would have been ideal.

Im also using formstack, but it's lame in limitations. I'd really like to use Gravity Forms as I already am for other forms on my website and would allow me to customize comfortably.
Oh well..

Not working for me either. Username/password are just alphanumeric, installation of the non gravity plugin doesn't fix it either (like outlined above), although this plugin can authenticate just fine on its own. I used it before on a different site where it did work.
